Accessibility
Last updated 1 September 2026.
KovaGrow is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification, or other assistive technology.
Conformance target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities. We treat conformance as ongoing work rather than a one-time certification.
What we have done on this site
- Text alternatives. Images that convey information carry descriptive alternative text. Purely decorative graphics are marked so screen readers skip them instead of announcing noise.
- Labelled controls. Every form field has a programmatically associated label, and buttons and links have accessible names — so a screen reader announces "Send my message", not "button".
- Colour contrast. Body text, headings and interface text have been measured against their actual backgrounds and meet or exceed the 4.5:1 ratio required at Level AA.
- Text resizing. Layouts use relative units and reflow rather than break when text is enlarged up to 200%.
- Keyboard operation. All navigation, links, buttons, menus and form controls can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone. The mobile menu closes with the Escape key and keeps focus inside itself while open.
- Skip navigation. A "Skip to main content" link is the first item on every page, so keyboard users can bypass the header instead of tabbing through it repeatedly.
- Visible focus. A clear, high-contrast outline shows which element currently has keyboard focus.
- Reduced motion. Animation, parallax and the 3D hero graphic are disabled automatically for visitors whose system requests reduced motion. Nothing on the site flashes.
- Works without JavaScript. If scripts fail to load, content is displayed rather than left hidden behind an animation.
- Status messages. Form confirmation messages are announced to screen readers without moving focus.
- Semantic structure. Pages use real headings in order, landmark regions and a declared language, so assistive technology can navigate by structure.
Media and documents
This site currently publishes no video, audio or downloadable PDFs. Our standing policy for any we add: video and audio will ship with accurate closed captions and a text transcript, and any PDF will be tagged, searchable, real text — never a flat scanned image, with an HTML alternative offered wherever practical.
Known limitations
We publish these openly rather than claim perfection:
- Some case-study figures are presented as illustrative examples and are labelled as such in the page text rather than in the markup.
- The decorative 3D graphic on the home page is hidden from assistive technology, as it conveys no information. It is disabled entirely under reduced-motion settings.
- Third-party services we link to are outside our control and may not meet the same standard.
Assessment approach
This site has been evaluated by manual review, including keyboard-only navigation testing and programmatic contrast measurement of every text colour against its actual background. We have not yet commissioned a third-party audit or formal user testing with assistive technology users; both are planned.
Tell us about a barrier
If you encounter anything on this site you cannot access or use, please tell us — it is the fastest way for us to fix it, and we want to know.
Email hello@kovagrow.com with the page address and a short description of the problem. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 2 business days and to provide the information you needed in an alternative format while we work on a permanent fix.
Formal complaints
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division, which enforces the Americans with Disabilities Act, or the California Civil Rights Department.
